Until recently, Dr. Miles was a Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and Associate Dean for Clinical Affairs at the Arizona School of Dentistry & Oral Health. Previously he has been Chair of the Department of Oral Health Sciences at the University of Kentucky, the graduate program director of Diagnostic Sciences at Indiana University and has held positions at the University of Kentucky and Dalhousie University. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Radiology and the American Board of Oral Medicine. He has been a test construction consultant for the National Dental Examining Board for the ADA. Dr. Miles has been named as one of the "TOP CLINICANS IN CE" for 2006 by Dentistry Today. He has authored over 120 scientific articles and four textbooks, and has given over 350 invited presentations. He has consulted with many imaging and practice management companies including Dentrix, PracticeWorks and Eaglesoft, as well as digital x-ray companies like Kodak, Gendex, Suni Imaging, Planmeca and others. He has recently formed a new company in Fountain Hills, AZ called Digital Radiographic SolutioWns, a company providing radiographic interpretation to dental colleagues and radiology laboratory services using Cone Beam CT machines.
